Connecting Carriers and Your PMS
────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Before you can create bookings, you need to connect at least one carrier and optionally connect your Property Management System (PMS). This article covers both.
Connecting Carriers
Go to Carrier Configurations in the left sidebar. Click Add Carrier and select the carrier you want to configure:
Ship&Co
● Select Ship&Co tab
● Select hotel branches to configure with Ship&Co
● Enter the your Ship&Co API token and select Label Size
● Assign the carrier to the relevant branch or branches
● Click Test Connection to verify the credentials are working
● Click Save Configuration
Yamato B2Cloud
● Select Yamato B2Cloud tab
● Enter your Yamato contract customer code (お客様コード) — provided by Yamato when you set up your forwarding contract
● Enter the API key provided by Yamato's B2 Cloud platform and Label Size
● Assign the carrier to the relevant branch or branches
● Click Test Connection to verify the credentials are working
● Click Save Configuration
Sagawa Express
● Select Sagawa Express from the carrier list
● Enter your Sagawa customer ID and API credentials — provided by Sagawa when you set up your account
● Assign to the relevant branch or branches
● Test and save
Japan Post (Yu-Pack)
● Select Japan Post from the carrier list
● Enter your Japan Post e-shipping account credentials
● Assign to the relevant branch or branches
● Test and save
ℹ NOTE If you do not have carrier API credentials yet, contact your Yamato, Sagawa, or Japan Post account representative. Takumo support can assist with the setup process — contact us via the help widget. |
International Carriers
International carrier connections (Yamato TA-Q-BIN International, Japan Post EMS, DHL Express) are configured in the same Carrier Configurations screen. Select International as the carrier type and follow the credentials process for each. DHL Express requires a DHL API developer account — register at developer.dhl.com and use your API key and secret.
Connecting Your PMS
Go to PMS Configurations in the left sidebar. Click Add New PMS and select your system:
Oracle OPERA Cloud
● Select Oracle OPERA Cloud from the PMS list
● Assign to the relevant branch
● Enter your OPERA Cloud Enterprise ID, Chain Code, Region and click Submit button
● Oracle will send an email notification indicating a pending request
● Open your Oracle Developer Portal to review and approve the request
● Return back to Takumo, PMS Configuration module to check the Oracle connection
Cloudbeds
● Select Cloudbeds and follow the OAuth authentication flow — you will be redirected to Cloudbeds to authorise the connection
● Once authorised, assign to the relevant branch and save
Mews
● Select Mews and enter your Mews access token
● Assign to the relevant branch and save
Once your PMS is connected, guest information (name, room number, contact details) will auto-populate in Step 1 of the booking flow when you search by guest name or room number.
ℹ NOTE PMS integration is optional. If your property does not use a supported PMS, you can manually enter guest details at booking creation. All other functionality remains identical. |
