Setting Up Your SATO Printer

────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Takumo Pro works with the SATO SCeaTa CT4-LX thermal label printer provided as part of your Takumo hardware package. This printer produces the 4×6 inch waybill labels used for all domestic and international shipments.

Unboxing and Initial Setup

Remove the printer from its packaging and place it on a stable surface at or near the front desk

Connect the power adapter and switch the printer on using the power button on the front panel

The printer screen displays バーコードをスキャンしてください / Please scan your barcode when ready

Loading Label Paper

Open the top cover of the printer by lifting the release latch

Insert the label roll with the paper feeding from the bottom of the roll

Feed the leading edge of the paper through the paper guide and into the feed slot

Close the top cover until it clicks

Press the feed button once to advance the paper and confirm correct loading

The label should feed cleanly without wrinkling or skewing

⚠ IMPORTANT

Use only Takumo-supplied label stock. Third-party labels may cause print quality issues or damage the thermal head.

Connecting to Your Network

Connect the printer to your network using the supplied Ethernet cable, or configure WiFi via the printer's touchscreen menu under Network Settings

Note the IP address displayed in the printer's network settings screen

In Takumo Pro go to Hotel Settings → Hardware → Add Printer

Enter the printer IP address and click Test Print

A test label should print confirming the connection is successful

      Click Save

Running a Test Print

Before going live, run a full test print from within a test booking. Create a dummy booking, proceed to Step 6, and click Print Label. Confirm the label output is clean, fully printed, and the barcode scans correctly with a handheld scanner or phone camera.
