What is Takumo Lite and How Does it Work?

Takumo Lite is a free app that lets you arrange forwarding for your luggage from your hotel to your next destination — anywhere in Japan or internationally — before you even check out.
How it Works in Three Steps
● Before checkout, open Takumo Lite and create a booking — tell us where you want your luggage sent
● You receive a QR code by email or saved to your Apple or Google Wallet
● Drop your bags at the hotel front desk, show your QR code to staff, and your luggage is on its way — no paperwork, no phone calls

Which Hotels Use Takumo
Takumo is available at hotels that have activated the service. You will find a Takumo QR code on display in your room or at the front desk. If you cannot find a QR code, ask the front desk whether Takumo is available at your property.
Downloading the App
Search for Takumo Lite in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and download the free app. You can also access Takumo Lite via your web browser at lite.takumo.jp without downloading anything.
Creating Your Account
Open the app and tap Create Account. Enter your name, email address, and create a password. Verify your email by clicking the link in the confirmation email. Once verified you can log in and start booking.
If you have stayed at a Takumo hotel before and created a booking, your previous booking history is available when you log in.
💡 TIP You do not need an account to make a booking — you can book as a guest without registering. However creating an account lets you view your booking history and saves your details for future stays. |
